Prof. Qinmin Yang

Biography: Qinmin Yang received the Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Civil Aviation University of China, Tianjin, China in 2001, the Master of Science Degree in Control Science and Engineering from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, MO USA, in 2007. From 2007 to 2008, he was a Post-doctoral Research Associate at the University of Missouri-Rolla. From 2008 to 2009, he was a system engineer with Caterpillar Inc. From 2009 to 2010, he was a Post-doctoral Research Associate at University of Connecticut. Since 2010, he has been with the State Key Laboratory of Industrial Control Technology, the College of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, China, where he is currently a professor. He has also held visiting positions at the University of Toronto and Lehigh University.
Assoc. Prof. Jun Xu

Biography: Assoc. Prof. Jun Xu is currently the deputy director of the SMC Pneumatic Technology Center of Wuhan University of Technology, the deputy director of the Institute of Automotive Electronics and Information Integration Technology of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and the deputy director of the Department of Process Equipment and Control Engineering. He has long been engaged in scientific research and teaching in the fields of passenger car brake system control and on-board network information integrated control.
In recent years, 15 research papers related to the research of this project have been published in academic journals or academic conferences at home and abroad (the first author), 14 related patents have been applied for, and 11 have been authorized (including 2 of the first inventor, 4 items for the second inventor, 5 items for the third inventor). Won the third prize of Wuhan Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award. Two of the completed research projects passed the Achievement Appraisal of Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Department in 2009 and 2010 respectively, and the research results are at the international advanced level.
Assoc. Prof. Xie Ming
Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
Biography: Xie Ming is holding the positions of Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University. He has served as technical consultants to Asia Electronics Pte Ltd in 1994, Port of Singapore Authority in 1994, Delphi Automotive Systems Pte Ltd in 2001, ST Aerospace Ltd in 2006, Murata Electronics Pte Ltd in 2007, and Sony Electronics Pte Ltd in 2007. He has also worked with Renault Automation (Paris/France) in 1986, INRIA Sophia-Antipolis (Nice/France) between 1990 and 1993, and Singapore-MIT Alliance between 2000 and 2004. In addition, Xie Ming has served as the General Chair of International Conference on Climbing and Walking Robots in 2007, and International Conference on Intelligent Robotics and Applications in 2009. Xie Ming obtained his B.Eng in control and automation in 1984. In the same year, he was selected as one of the Chinese government’s overseas scholars. Thereafter, he obtained a Master's degree in industrial automation from the University of Valenciennes (France) in 1986, and a Ph.D. degree in informatics from the University of Rennes (France) in 1989. He has published one best-selling book in robotics in 2003, and over 100 research papers so far. Xie Ming has taught a number of university courses such as Applied Machine Vision, Robotics, Computer Graphics, Statistical Process Control, and Physics. Xie Ming’s research strengths are in machine intelligence, humanoid robotics, and autonomous vehicles. In total, he has won two scientific competition awards and two best conference paper awards.
Assoc. Prof. Ata Jahangir Moshayedi

Biography: Ata Jahangir Moshayedi, Associate Professor, Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, obtained his PhD in Electronics Science from Savitribai Phule Pune University, India, with a research interest in Machine Olfaction, Member of IEEE, Life Member of INSTRUMENTATION OF INDIA, Life Member of the Indian Speed Society and is currently on the editorial board of the International Journal of Robotics and Control, International Journal of Physics and Robotics Applied Electronics, 62 papers in national journals and conferences, 2 books and 1 patent. His awards include: Best Invention in the Design of an Ergonomic Mattress Recognition System at the Inventors Imitating Innovators Azad University 7 Hour Festival in July 2018; 3rd place in the 3rd International Robotics Games Drone Outdoor Competition (IRANOPEN 2018) in March 2018; 3rd place in the 5th International Robotics Games Drone Outdoor Competition (IRANOPEN 2018) in February 2018. Best paper at the 5th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Computing, February 2018; Best paper at the 5th International Conference on Robotics and Mechatronics, 2017.
